A Journey Through the Eyes of PG: The IMW Adventure
Greetings, fellow travelers of life and lovers of fine experiences. I am PG, a humble 24-pack of
PrixGarantie Beer, and this is my story of The IMW in Kranjska Gora. Brought by the lively group
from LC Zurich, I embarked on a journey unlike any other, one filled with camaraderie,
breathtaking scenery, and the unique essence of EESTEC that no label can capture.
The Departure: A 24-Pack Full of Promise
It all began in Zurich, where I was plucked from the shelves, my modest yet iconic yellow-and
white packaging promising affordability without compromise. Loaded into the bags of my carriers,
I felt the excitement buzzing in the air—a party was brewing. Before long, I found myself on an
overnight train, my cardboard home intact, surrounded by the laughter of LC Zurich members as
they reunited with friends.
As the train swayed gently on the tracks, so did I, passed hand-to-hand as the celebrations began.
Bit by bit, the condensation on my bottles evaporated into the lively air, and my once-complete 24
pack began to thin. But I didn’t mind; this is what I was made for—to bring people together. The
overnight train wasn’t just a party; it was a moving tapestry of joy, hugs, and shared memories,
stitched together with music and laughter. By the time we reached Kranjska Gora, I was lighter,
both in weight and in spirit, ready for what was to come.
Kranjska Gora: Mountains, Friends, and a Little Red Trolley
The picturesque village of Kranjska Gora greeted us with crisp air and snow-dusted peaks, and I
was soon nestled into a little red trolley from LC Ljubljana. It was a cozy ride, perched alongside
snacks and supplies as we made our way to Lake Jasna. From my vantage point, I could see smiles
stretching wider than the horizon, friends embracing as if no time had passed since their last
meeting.
The hike to the lake was invigorating. My bottles jostled gently with each step, and I couldn’t help
but marvel at the pristine beauty around me. Lake Jasna shimmered under the sun, a mirror
reflecting the snowy peaks and the boldness of those who dared to jump into its icy embrace.
I was there, watching from the trolley, as Zurich’s finest plunged into the freezing waters with
shrieks and laughter. If I had a voice, I’d have cheered. Instead, I waited patiently, knowing that
soon, I’d be part of their post-swim celebrations, warming spirits even as the lake chilled their
bones.
The Evenings: Where Magic Happens
Evenings at The IMW are something special. The room buzzed with multilingual chatter as the LC
Zurich crew brought out what remained of me. I stood proud on the table, a symbol of togetherness
as people from across Europe shared stories, exchanged traditions, and basked in the glow of unity
that only EESTEC can bring.
At times, I found myself the centerpiece of games—but always with a sense of fun, not excess. My
role was not to intoxicate but to accompany, to enhance the moments rather than overshadow them.
And oh, the food! Local delicacies paired with sips of me; it was a perfect harmony of cultures
blending seamlessly.
The Journey Home: A Bittersweet Goodbye
By the time we packed up to return to Zurich, I was nearly gone. A few brave bottles remained,
clinking softly in a bag, their contents saved for one last toast. On the train back, I saw the tired but
content faces of my companions, their voices hoarse from singing, their hearts full from days spent
in the embrace of friendship and adventure.
As the train pulled into Zurich, my last bottle was opened. A final toast—to The IMW, to LC
Ljubljana for their flawless organization, and to the unbreakable bonds of the EESTEC community.
I was empty now, my mission complete. But in my emptiness, there was fulfillment, for I had been
part of something extraordinary.
Though I began as just a simple 24-pack of PG, I ended as so much more. I was a witness to the
magic of The IMW, a partner in the unforgettable moments that unfolded. From the spirited
overnight train to the serene beauty of Lake Jasna, from the laughter-filled evenings to the
bittersweet farewells, I had the privilege of experiencing it all.
The IMW is not just an event; it is a testament to the power of connection, the joy of sharing
cultures, and the beauty of being present. And while I may never see Kranjska Gora again, a little
piece of me remains there—in the memories of those who carried me, shared me, and celebrated life
with me.
Until next time, LC Zurich. Prost!
